Mayfield House Wedding Austin | LaDolceVita

Kimberly & Gerard had a beautiful and intimate wedding at Mayfield House in Austin. My favorite part was the 2 1/2 hour boat ride we took after the ceremony. The lighting was amazing and it reminded me of the boats that go up and down the Seine river in Paris. So romantic... These two sweethearts look like they've been together forever, there's so much love evident between them! Their families are German and Irish, which was fun for me because I got to speak a little German with Gerard's aunts and uncles. Can't wait to hear all about their honeymoon when they get back to Austin in the next few days. Enjoy!

Austin Engagement | La Dolce Vita

I was so thrilled when Michelle and Eric told me they wanted to come to Austin for their engagement session. We went to some of my favorite outdoor locations for portraits and got some great shots. I can't wait for Michelle's San Antonio bridal, we're going to the museum of modern art (McNay Museum)!

Tamara & Jack | Buda Texas Engagement Session

I am feeling very inspired after this lovely engagement session with Tamara and Jack. We started our photographic foray at their lovely farm house in Buda where I got to meet Tamara's adorable and very photogenic standard poodle. I also got to meet the hundreds (or what seemed like hundreds) of adopted cacti and succulents Jack and Tamara had received from Jack's father. This was especially cool for me since I am a big fan of succulents myself! We definitely got creative in this session and I'm really looking forward to Tamara's bridal. Stay tuned, it's going to be a destination session! A big thank you to Tamara's mom for making this beautiful day possible.

Laguna Gloria Austin Bridal | La Dolce Vita

After much mopping up of spilt champagne we finally got down to business. Yes, I poured half a bottle of champagne all over the gorgeous tiled floor at Laguna Gloria during Jill's bridal. No, I didn't do it on purpose and yes, I did the mopping. It made for some good comic relief, photographer by day, Laguna Gloria janitor by night. Oh boy...
Anyway, Jill was amazing and despite her self acclaimed shyness around the camera managed to pull out the stops to capture some beautiful images. A big thank you to Suzi Q of Q Weddings for helping me out!
